The Macarthur Community Profile presents a comprehensive socio-demographic profile for the Macarthur region at the municipality level and for smaller areas within it. The user is able to analyse local community characteristics and understand how they have changed over time. The site also allows you to compare your area to other areas within the Macarthur region.

Information is presented in a clear format which is designed to inform community groups, Council, investors, business, students and the general public. To achieve this, the Profile is formatted to present the data in simple, clear tables and charts with concise factual commentary.

The Macarthur Community profile compares the Macarthur region as a whole with the Sydney Statistical Division* and each of the MACROC local governement areas against the Macarthur region as a whole.

The community profile is based upon the Australian Bureau of Statistics Census and includes information from the 1991, 1996 and 2001 Census results.
